We'd settle for a second helping of Dante's Inferno.

The game looked fantastic at first, only to be made look average by Sony Santa Monica's successor.

But we're big fans of the "God Of War genre" as a whole, and so we'd be happy to see a follow-up in developer Visceral's slash 'em up series.

If evidence uncovered on writer Joshua Rubin’s blog is anything to go by, it looks like we might get our wish. The writer is said to be working on a "major unannounced sequel" at Visceral Games. While the project could easily pertain to Dead Space 3, a sneakily inserted hint points towards the original Dante's famous super-bowl commercial.

It's not the first time we've heard rumours of a Dante's Inferno sequel, and the original certainly sold well enough to warrant a follow-up. But with Sony Santa Monica keeping its ear so close to the ground, we can't help but wonder if Visceral will have its work cut-out once again should the latest entry in the God Of War series debut around the same time.
