Announced at New York Comic Con, Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3's "Heroes & Heralds" mode is a free update due for release sometime after the game's retail launch.
The mode employs a new ability-card system, opening up previously unavailable powers such as projectile invincibility, invisibility, enhanced armour and more.
Joystiq managed to record an amateur video of the announcement after the jump. Remember to turn down your speakers if you don't want to hear a load of over-excited, American comic-book fans screaming as loud as possible.
