CCP's Scaled Back Some Of Its Operations In Order To Focus On DUST 514 And EVE Online.

"We have come to the conclusion that we are attempting too many things for a company our size. Developing Eve expansions, DUST 514 and World of Darkness has stretched our resources too thin," a surprisingly candid CCP statement revealed.

"Rather than allowing this to persist, we have made the decision to sharpen our focus. Sadly, this means reducing our staff."

The lay-off will hit PC-based vampire MMO World Of Darkness hardest, with the project being continued albeit through a heavily reduced team.

EVE Online and PS3 exclusive shooter DUST 514 will become the company's main priorities.

It's obviously sad news for those employees affected, but its good for the health of CCP that it's made the necessary changes to restructure its business before any serious harm is done to the rest of the company. With DUST 514 now a focus, we hope CCP will be able to come good on its lofty aims for the ridiculously ambitious shooter MMO.

Naturally, we wish the very best to everyone affected.
