Here's Your First Look At The Modern Day Syndicate.

That project has long been believed to be a reboot of Peter Molyneux's classic strategy series, Syndicate. A leak within EA's own Origin website has confirmed the rumours. Someone at EA's getting a ticking off right about now.

Unlike the original title, Starbreeze's Syndicate will take the shape of a first-person shooter. (No surprises there.) You'll play as Miles Kilo, an agent from the year 2069 in a world now governed by Syndicates. The story's being penned by Richard Morgan, who put together Crysis 2 for Crytek.

Syndicate's planning on adopting a couple of twists in order to separate it from its first-person shooter brethren. Players will have access to a neural implant, allowing them to see through walls, slow-down time and more.

Online co-op will also be included, with nine original Syndicate missions being re-imagined for the rebooted campaign.

There's more on NeoGAF. The video game forum speculates that a reveal is due in this month's GameReactor. Looks like EA beat them to the punch.
