More Borderlands? Errr, Yes Please.

The game's due for release somewhere between April 2012 and March 2013. 2K's keeping a nice wide window open for the time being.

The game's featured on the September cover of US games magazine GameInformer, and will be on-hand at this month's Gamescom.

New characters, skills, enemies, weapons and equipment will all feature. Basically it's bigger, better and more amazing. Seeing as we put like 40 hours into the original game, that's something we can get behind.

"Combining invention and evolution, Borderlands 2 features all new characters, skills, environments, enemies, weapons and equipment, which come together in an ambitiously crafted story," reads the official synopsis.

"Players will reveal secrets, and escalate mysteries of the Borderlands universe as they adventure across the unexplored new areas of Pandora."

GameInformer's told players not to "just expect a bazillion weapons this time, Gearbox is introducing new and more diverse environments, smarter and more powerful enemies, and an improved mission system capable of delivering a better story."

Exciting stuff. Expect more soon.
