Reports Claim Amazon's Cloud Servers Were Used In The Hack On The PlayStation Network.

According to the report, the hackers disguised themselves as a legitimate organisation, using fake information to sign up to Amazon's service.

Once the account with Amazon was authorised, the hackers used it to attack the PlayStation Network. The account has since be shuttered according to the report.

Amazon declined to comment on the claims. Sony's Patrick Seybold said that the platform holder was "continuing to work with law enforcement in an ongoing investigation" and declined any further comment.

Bloomberg noted that the story was likely to "call attention to concerns some businesses have voiced over the security of computing services delivered via others’ remote servers".

The drama continues.
