Soul Calibur V: It's A Video Game.

As closet Soul Calibur fanboys — still itching for the franchise to return to form — we're a little bit giddy over the announcement. Even if we did totally anticipate it.

The game will release on PlayStation 3 next year. It's set 17 years after the previous game if you care about the story. Presumably the passing of time will result in the characters wearing less clothes than ever before. We've heard that Sophitia will be dressed in dental floss and nothing more this time around.

The character roster is obviously top-secret right now, but Siegfried and Nightmare are confirmed by the trailer (embedded after the jump). The game will apparently focus on a new character called Patroklos, the son of Sophitia. We're the Dad, just saying.
