Resistance Is Back Mother Truckers! Hell Yes!

A NeoGAF post's revealed a load of information on the game via GameInformer's latest issue — most importantly that the franchise is back on form.

After such a promising debut, Resistance 2 was a bit of a let-down. It wasn't bad by any means, it just failed to really capitalise on the first game's strengths. Resistance 3 is all about making amends though. Insomniac were clearly burnt by the fan reaction to the second game, and they're looking to do something bonkers incredible with the sequel.

First up, there's no Nathan Hale. In his place is Capelli who has started up a family with Hale's sister Susan. Awkward, right? We're a bit bummed there's no Grayson from Resistance: Retribution — but maybe he'll still make an appearance.

So what's the big news out of GameInformer: well, the weapon wheel is back. About time right! Also, co-op has been confirmed, though it won't be a separate campaign like in Resistance 2. No more details on that yet, but it sounds mighty exciting.

We've included a bunch more information after the jump. Obviously, please buy the magazine if you want to know more about the game though. It's the issue with Resistance on the cover. Duh!
