There'll Be No Ridiculous Player Count In Resistance 3's Multiplayer.

Sounds like Insomniac are planning to scale down Resistance 3's player-count. It's probably for the best.

“The approach to multiplayer in Resistance 3 is to really streamline the things that were popular with Resistance 1 and Resistance 2,” creative director Marcus Smith told GameInformer magazine.

“Obviously, weapon usage is a big one, but we also have our progression through multiplayer, which is a lot tighter. It’s going to reward people as they go.”

Rather interestingly, Smith added that Resistance 3's multiplayer will include battles mentioned in the campaign. Nice bit of continuity there. Apparently Africa's set to be one location.

“We’re also setting the location of all multiplayer maps in various locations around the world. During the single-player campaign, you’ll be hearing updates of those battles as you’re progressing through the game.”

Can we have the game now please? No, didn't think so. We understand, it's not done. Man is it going to be amazing when it is though.
