We'll see you next year Sackboy!

One of the most anticipated upcoming Move-enabled games has to be Media Molecule’s LittleBigPlanet 2 which was due for release in November 2010. It’s all set to build on the excellent LittleBigPlanet from 2008 and add tons of new level-building functionality that will knock your socks off.

So it was with great sadness that the development team announced today that the release date is going to slip to January 2011 so that they can deliver "the experience that our great fans and community deserve."

From the LBP blog:

We've all been working like powered-up space ninjas and we're almost there, but because we love what we've made, and we love our little sack-friends, and most of all we love all our fans out there, we couldn't let you all get together until we knew we were giving you the best experience imaginable.

To be fair, from what we have seen of the LBP2 beta there is tons of complexity on offer. Who would begrudge them a little more time to fine-tune the experience for us lucky Move-enabled gamers?
