Yesterday we posted a video which seemed to suggest that Modern Warfare 2 (and presumably the franchise as a whole) was on the verge of getting some kind of subscription fee
But it's not. Infinity Ward's community manager Robert Bowling clarified:
For the record, nobody has to pay to play COD or MW2 multiplayer, nor will they.
Josh Olin of Treyarch had a similar thing to say regarding Call Of Duty: Black Ops.
No, you will not have to Pay to Play Call Of Duty: Black Ops multiplayer either. Rumor squashed.
Perhaps you can get some sleep tonight then?
