Armour King vs. Ryu? Oh Come On, Now You're Spoiling Us.

GameInformer's dropped a rumour of megaton intensity, claiming that Capcom and Namco are joining forces for two new games.

No, that's not a misprint in our headline. Apparently both Capcom vs. Namco and Namco vs. Capcom are set to be announced this weekend. Whether they'll both come on the same disc — we can only speculate for now.

In case you were curious, the former - Capcom vs. Namco - will be developed on the Street Fighter IV engine in 2.5D, while Namco vs. Capcom will be developed on the Tekken 6 engine. This all sounds so insane that it can't be made up.

According to GameInformer, the games are likely to be announced at Comic-Con, with Capcom's Yoshinori Ono handling the Capcom side, and Namco's Katsuhiro Harada on the other.

So, so, so cool.
