What could Rock Band 3 do that's going to be so radically different? It's not E3 yet so we can't actually say, but Harmonix wants you to know that whatever they do, it'll be the "next big leap in music gaming"
Appropriately named Dan Teasdale has blogged that "you'll be surprised just how big this game is". Apparently it's going to be a "big step forward".
Going on past appearances we expect the game to make it's debut during Microsoft's E3 press conference. Expect it on PS3 mind.
