Well This Looks... Different.

Remember we announced the new Lara Croft game to be downloadable the other day. Yeah, well that was strange enough, but did you expect it to be an isometric co-op arcade-esque game? Noooo.

As described in a first-look by GameSpot, Guardian Of Light will feature two playable characters: Lara (obviously) and a Mayan dude called Totec. Both characters will have to help each other platform and mow down waves of enemies via an evil spirit named Xoxolt. Erm.

This strikes us as a downloadable spin-off to the Tomb Raider franchise. We're gonna assume there's still a proper "big budget" Tomb Raider game in development somewhere.
