Progress Has Been Made. Not Much Though. Unfortunately.

I got some time in with Borderlands but otherwise, I spent the day staring blankly into space wondering why I set myself a ridiculous challenge (to hit 2,000 trophies by January 4th if you were wondering). The 23rd was spent plonked in front of Colin McRae: DiRT 2, reminding myself why I rarely go for platinums. As eloquently pointed out by reader "you are a loser" (here), I don't have many platinum trophies.

There are two reasons for this: a) because I'm a reviewer. This means I beat one game, write about it and then, often, start another one. I'm not making excuses (as point b will point out shortly), but I'm merely saying, yo, I play a lot of games. b) platinum trophies are a chore. Take my DiRT 2 session for example. I was going for the trophy (a Gold one) that has you playing (and winning) every event in the game. Winning was easy enough, but hell, it took me over 5 hours to complete the remaining 35 events or so I need for the trophy. That's not fun. That's dull. That's a chore.

And that's probably the reason this whole exercise is going to be a waste of time. Bolstering my platinum collection, pfft. I'll probably shoot myself before the next update.

Playing through Borderlands for the first time is saving my sanity.

Trophies since last update: 26.
