Example; when a video game's advert is filled with explosions, terrible rock music, quick camera switches and a few more explosions, you can probably assume that the game is rubbish and is being marketed at a tribe who think games have to be macho to be good.

This Gran Turismo PSP TV spot from Japan is the polar opposite. The subtle electro pads never build into anything, the gated synth is mixed low so as not to arouse unnecessary panic and the cars aren't driving like an eager exec late for a meeting. It's subtle. The message being; "I'm Gran Turismo, I don't need to catch your attention because I know you're looking".

Or something like that.
