Insomniac Will Always Release Their Games In The Holiday Season.

Why? Everyone is too scared to put their game next to Modern Warfare 2 and Assassin's Creed II. Look back through our archives from the past three months and you'll note one thing: all the big '09 releases are being pushed back until early 2010. It defeats the whole ethos of releasing games at Christmas - i.e. putting plenty of variety on the shelves for people to play as holiday presents. We appreciate Modern Warfare 2 is going to be a big game but good grief - publishers are just giving Activision a free ride.

Thankfully Insomniac aren't going to fall into the trap. They always release games for the holiday season, and that's not changing with Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time.

In an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, Insomniac's Ryan Schneider has confirmed that his company have "had a lot of success" releasing in the holiday season and that they still think it's "the right time" to release a game.

Thank goodness. Variety on the store shelves this holiday season. Rejoice.
