If Sony had stumped up the $5million required to advertise on America's biggest sporting event we'd have expected the ad to drop the captions and be more "gritty".

Going hand in hand with Sony's non-Superbowl push is the news that Sony are to put £2million behind promoting Killzone 2 in the UK. Sources claim Sony plan to "swarm the island with television and cinema ads".

Let's hope the launch lives up to expectations.
