As a pair of agents are conversing, one of them questions whether Eggman could still be alive, and the other responds there'd be no way someone could survive a crash of that scale. Following this, we see Robotnik's extremely loyal assistant, Stone, in disguise. We're sure we'll see more from him in the third movie.

Next, another agent runs in, having made a discovery. Research dating back 50 years has been discovered, referring to something named Project Shadow. As this conversation goes on, the camera cuts to a mysterious facility, and the post credits scene ends on the reveal of Shadow the Hedgehog, who will no doubt be the main antagonistic force in Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
