Hogwarts Legacy: How to Increase Gear Capacity
You can increase your Gear capacity by completing Merlin Trials, which are found throughout the grounds surrounding Hogwarts. These take the form of fairly simple environmental puzzles to solve, and your Gear capacity will increase after completing them. However, you can't immediately leave Hogwarts and start finishing them to get more slots.
Instead, you need to first complete a Main Quest called Trials of Merlin. This mission introduces the mechanic and starts you off with a very simple puzzle. From there, you need to look out for the black and white icons on the map with a leaf in the centre. These are Merlin Trials, and beating them increases your Gear capacity.
