The Huntress is a wily opponent who uses a bow to attack from range. She's fast, and she'll almost always retreat to a safer distance once you've landed a few hits. While she's certainly not as tricky as Thor, The Huntress can catch you off guard with how quick some of her shots are. What's more, in close quarters, she can rear up on her hind legs, and strike with a series of front-legged kicks.

These kicks can be parried, however, and doing so opens The Huntress up for some attacks of your own. Another effective strategy is to dodge to her sides when she tries to kick, as she is largely defenceless when not directly facing Kratos.

That said, try not to get behind her. Just like a real horse, The Huntress is capable of lashing out with her hind legs. This assault comes out very quickly, and although it can be parried, you might not see it coming.

The real issue with The Huntress is figuring out how to get close once she's decided to sit in a corner and bombard you with arrows. Fortunately, there is a defined route. When she's charging certain shots, her horns will glow. A precise hit with your axe will send her reeling, and you'll be able to run right up and start your combo.

As for the shots themselves, dodging is the best way to nullify her arrows. Either dodge through the arrows, or around them depending on the type of shot she's using. Some are also unblockable, so be sure to watch for the red rings.
