Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: How to Get a Chocobo Guide

In order to get a Chocobo, you need to follow the main story in the Grasslands Region, and then complete Side Quests when you reach other Regions like the Junon Region and Corel Region. You don't unlock one single Chocobo and that's it for the whole game; there's a Chocobo specific to each Region with different abilities.

To get a Chocobo in the Grasslands (part of Chapter 2 - A New Journey Begins), follow the main story until you reach Bill's Ranch, where Billy will guide you through capturing a Chocobo called Piko to make it your own. After this step in the main quest, you'll be able to call upon a Chocobo in the Grasslands.
