Elden Ring: How to Replenish Flasks

Elden Ring: How to Replenish Flasks Guide 1

Elden Ring implements a new mechanic that allows you to get Sacred Flask uses out of combat. You'll receive one extra gulp from the flask — giving you either Health or FP (Focus Points) — after defeating a group of enemies. The game will notify you of this with a sound cue and a sort of red mist that floats out of the final defeated enemy and into your character. This will refill your Sacred Flask with one extra use. However, you can't go over the maximum amount your character currently sits at.

Because of this, we actually recommend entering combat without the maximum number of Sacred Flask uses. As detailed in our Elden Ring Tips and Tricks for Beginners guide, if you've only taken a tiny bit of damage and your Sacred Flask is still at full capacity, it would be best to heal and then gain back another usage through this mechanic. Then you're back at full health with a full Sacred Flask.
