@Th3solution Congrats man, perhaps I've previously underestimated you, notoriously difficult boss, so I've heard, I think only a handful of players have managed to best Sir Alonne, now, you, Sir, are one of that elite!
I don't think I struggled against Sir Alonne or Fume Knight as much as some people. Looking at footage, they look so slow and i'm seeing loads of opportunities to get hits in. 😂 Mind you I did play Darks Souls 2 after 3 and i think FromSoftware upped their game for bosses in the later game.
@JohnnyShoulder DS3 definitely had some hard bosses for sure, and people still rank it as the best in the series, although it differs from person to person, b/c others say ER, DS1 etc.

Almost done with #2 of the DS2 DLC’s — on the verge of completing Crown of the Sunken King. One last boss to go.
I’ve liked some aspects of this DLC, it has been less of a gauntlet compared to Crown of the Old Iron King content. But I’ve not necessarily been a fan of all the switches and puzzley elements of navigating the levels. The bosses have been tough also, although so far not quite as tough as Sir Alonne and Fume Knight. I’m at the final boss, Sinh, and have had to take a break and might get to it later this week or perhaps the upcoming weekend. The first two bosses — the triple squad (I forget what they’re called) and Elena were moderately difficult, but at least in both cases getting back to the boss fog gate after death wasn’t quite as hard. I died multiple times at each of the two bosses. The tactics deployed here of having to take on several enemies at once is quite frustrating. I tried summoning the NPC help and in both instances, I found it easier to just to the fight solo since the boss became so incredibly buffed when you summon and then your summons seem to die fairly quickly and you’re left with a stronger boss to take on alone. With the triple threat boss, poison was definitely key, and with Elena, there was a little RNG mercy when I beat her and she didn’t summon Velstadt right away.
I definitely think that these DLC’s (at least the first two that I’ve played) were designed to punish players who rely too much on magic and sniping. In most cases I’ve had to go toe-to-toe with the bosses and even many of the common enemies because magic was just too slow and enemies can close in fast and punish you, or you can get trapped and ganged up on quickly by a hoard while trying to cast.
Fortunately I have some decent Dex and my rapier and Silverblack Spear are functioning okay, and the occasional use of the Broken Santier spear.
Edit: And… now Sinh is defeated. Not too bad once you get her move set down. Now I have another crown. One more 👑 to go.
