Topic: The LiveArea is more of a social network

I've read up on the site, that the PlayStation Vita's LiveArea is pretty bad, yet when you find out all of it's features, you'll find it's more of a friend-only social network than a hub for everything on your Vita.  You can comment on and even Facebook-style-like things and events that have happened in your friends' game(s).  It's pretty cool, and you can be updated and informed on everything your friends do, and you can express your thoughts about everything.

"Wow, Vita, all this sounds awesome, but how do I do it?"

Well, simple, mysterious voice in my head, on games and apps, when you press their "bubble", you'll be taken to the LiveArea of whatever app you tapped(Welcome Park's a good example), and just scroll down(this won't work if your on something like Trophies or Friends), and you can see everything the group has been up to, and tap an event to comment on or like it.

Have fun, you kids!

I think your talking about near, which was not the subject of this topic, and near is hardly anywhere near, no pun intended, the functions and abilities of StreetPass.  If you don't have a 3G Vita, so what, at home, it still sucks up prizes and stats from the community, and with StreetPass, you have to take your Nintendo 3DS with you to get all the good stuff.

LOL, I thought you were talking about Near. My bad..

Well you can receive puzzle pieces via Spotpass now, I think daily?

I have thought of Nintendo do a sort of social net thing before Sony did it with Vita. You know, replacement for Pictochat that works over WiFi.  A way to send a request when you a add their code to you friends, etc.
