Fellow Push Squarers (is that what we call ourselves?) we gather here today to give thanks to a fellow member of this (gaming media's best) community it's true it's damn true. But not just any member but the gatekeeper of Push Square's forum polls... @themcnoisy who sadly steps down from his lofty position (hope he survives the fall it's quite high you know) after overseeing The Definitive Best Game of All Time Forum Megapoll.
After over two months of intense competition, multiple rounds, nearly 1700 comments and one ditched round later it was Horizon Zero Dawn that walked away with the ultimate prize (beat that Geoff Keighley). As we've come to expect from @themcnoisy the competition was conducted with his usual organisation and sense of humour that kept the community engaged all throughout. But we already knew this would be the case, after all we were here to find best PlayStation game, game of the year and ultimate game of all time previously and he never let us down, even when his personal life took (understandable) priority.
But when one good doctor regenerates, we say hello to another as @KratosMD takes the position as gatekeeper. And I'm sure we'll all welcome him and look forward to the first competition he oversees.
But to go back @themcnoisy I want to personally thank you for all your hard week over all these competitions, for making it such fun and been an example of how people should conduct themselves on the Internet. I'll leave you with four words from the hosts of my favourite wrestling podcast...

I know for sure I wouldn't have the patience to do what @themcnoisy did with all these polls. Always appreciated the work he put into this, his polls are a big part of what's made this website fun to frequent.

Congratulations and thanks for your great job. I'm still new here on Push Square, but I really like your comments and you're always contributing on the site and forums. The contest was really great.
What can be said about legend that is the Senior Mcnoise that has hasn't been said before? A gentleman, a gamer, a scholar and a rogue - he is the sticky goo that holds Pushsquare forums and comments section together. He's like solid snake without the eye patch, Aloy without the braids, Joel without the flannel shirt. In a word, a legend. I assume that is, I've never met him. If he does have those three things then he has a very distinct look.
As he hangs up the mantle for the forum, all we can ask is that he does not retire from the site completely. Long may he write and I, for one, hope the motion sickness clears up on PSVR.

Oh my god @adf86 that comment is amazing! Thank you so much. No more polls = more time, Im 37 now (fml) and I quite fancy the idea of making a game myself, some thing I promised myself when I left the Navy. With absolutely no natural flair for programming I need all the time in the world.
@Tasuki Cheers Taz, you somerimes get a hard time but I appreciate the work you put in. Thanks for correcting me and keeping it altogether when things go crazy. Top man.

@ApostateMage Thanks AM, Ive always wondered what Apostate means. Is it A Po State (like the tellytubby mindset) or Ap Os Tate (Like your current phone software deserves to be showcased in the Tate modern) Im unsure but its intriguing either way.

No but seriously, thanks for all the effort. As someone who spends a good chunk of their life running this site, seeing the community do stuff like this is really great!
I've said it a couple times during the megapoll, and even used the same .gif in the same context, but it's always worth saying again; the most points, the platinum trophy, the biggest amount of cash... whatever we've been voting with, it all should go to @themcnoisy for his sterling efforts!
