@NecuVise You are focusing too much on the money rather than the basic idea.

£10 per subscriber is set aside. Estimated a £200,000,000 sub pot of dough.
The top 20 online games jan-jun get £5,000,000 each and that's mirrored jul-dec. It's only an idea but I think it's very good. There would be no reason to have additional costs like micros or lootboxes and would pay for dedicated servers etc.

@themcnoisy Activision makes like 2 billion a year from MTX, and that's from 3 or 4 games at most (Destiny, COD, Overwatch and Heartstone(?)). They're never going to settle for 5 million per game, even if there's some agreement between Sony and third parties (no MTX for x amount per 6 months)

@Octane I know but I hate micros. Just an idea which could support smaller games going micro free.

£50 for an AAA title is fine by me. The quality of titles and content has gone up significantly in the last few years. Games drop in price too quickly which means a lot of people hold off buying titles until they reduce in price reducing the profitablity of games. I do not want to see price drops within the first 3 months of a title being released. I feel its a slap in the face for those who have supported the titles from day one.

@themcnoisy Yeah I know, I like the idea, but I just don't think it'll ever work. They certainly want more than that. And in the end we're still paying for heir greed indirectly.
