Merry Christmas all, I’m at my girlfriend’s families place in Winchester and then going to Exeter to see some more of her family and my own. Would prefer to do less running around and a bit more time sat on the sofa drinking with a controller in my hand but I should catch a few days before back to work on the 2nd. Hopefully be able to sneak in a little Steam Deck in the meantime 😏
Have a good one, whatever you’re doing.
P.S my girlfriend got me a nice Polaroid camera which I will have some fun with! This is Bibble…
Really late message but it's been rather hectic here today with me hosting a bunch of people for a party (And I'll foolishly be doing so New years too) but I hope everyone has/will have a wonderful day today~!
Yeah, I’d be interested to read what gaming related Christmas loot people got.
Personally, I didn’t get anything gaming-wise (I got some clothes, treats, and a couple kitchen items) but I might use some gifted funds to buy a game or two in the sale. We’ll see.
“We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.”
Not any gaming related gifts but I'm sure i'll get something with money/vouchers.
For my Christmas my parents gave me a Star Wars Oodie, my nieces and nephews gifted us a voucher for eating out. I got a bottle of Kraken from my mother & father in-law. My wife gifted me TMNT the IDW collection volume 4, Dungeon Crawler Carl book 4 and volume 7 of Attack on Titan Colossal edition. My sister in-laws got me a book on Michelangelo (artist not the Turtle) and vouchers for Amazon/waterstones. So overall I've been spoilt not bad for a guy heading into his mid 40's.
Hope everyone had a great time and enjoys many more fun days during the holidays.
@KidRyan Oh brilliant, meet Daisy, she's very soft. It's not Christmas here yet but Daisy came by a couple of weeks ago. The Person who gifted her to me, and that fox and the jelly beans has no children of her own so whenever she visits she usually brings plush and such. I'd never say no to one. The fox isn't a plush, it's a statue. They can't be snuggled, too rough. I collect fox paintings, art, plush etc, I think she ran out of fox things. Daisies name was also on the tag.
@GirlVersusGame That was very sweet of them! The koala is a gift from my mom, something I can hug and think of her whenever I'm alone (or when she passes).
@KidRyan It really was, she's like that. Aw that's very sweet of your Mum too, hopefully she'll be with you for a long time yet. Are koalas your favorite animal? Mine are foxes and puppies. That's very generous of Grant too, you are lucky to have such a good friend. I haven't seen Yu-Gi-Oh but I did see a Power Rangers movie, I haven't seen Barney either but I know of him. Have you ever seen Bear in the Big Blue house? I've seen that one, he's sort of like Barney.
This is one of my favorites. His name is MrLongEars, he's a lynx and goes everywhere I go.

@GirlVersusGame My mom will be 70 in February, hoping she'll make it to her 90's. I live with her in a house she owns, but won't be fully paid off for another 20+ years.
My fave animals are moose, puppies, and foxes (also bears and kitties). I've never seen Bear in the Big Blue House, but I know friends that love the show as much as I do with Barney.
We've known each other for 10 years now, so we're pretty close. He buys me Christmas and birthday gifts yearly. I used to do the same for him, when I had a job.
@KidRyan Oh seventy isn't old at all, one hundred is old, She's still young. Moose? I don't think I have any plush moose, they are huge and would take up half of the bed. Probably poke you with an antler as you slept. You should watch it sometime it's a good show, we have big bears in Russia. I see them sometimes roaming around, but run when I see them because they might be hungry and they are very fast. They can be as much as ten feet tall, they might not even fit into a Big Blue House.
I don't see them much in Winter. They eats lots of food then go to sleep for a long time, as they sleep the food they did eats gets broken down inside them. It happens so slowly that they aren't hungry again for quite some time. Unless perhaps you had a tasty sandwich or big basket of berries. They'd eat those in one big bite. We have wild foxes too, I often hear them at night. Ten years? that's a very long time, I don't think I've ever had a friend that long. He sounds like a really great guy. Kitties are brilliant too. Have you seen all the Anime on that list? I've only seen Lucky Star and Puella Magi Madoka Magica, is Spice and Wolf good? I think I have a book by the same name.

@Tjuz Here's to many more messages and thousands of words for as long as we don't get sick of each other!
Do you know this saying? To be careful for what one wishes for. It's still not Christmas so all I've been doing is reading and writing. I hope you are enjoying your Christmas and maybe whenever I do post this you'll have finished it before next Christmas (next year)
@seinfeldfanatic Hey, at least you got to try some! My family are proper vultures. If you don't act fast, food can and will disappear on you. Sounds like it went down well, at any rate!
@kyleforrester87 Bibble might look like trouble, but the best, most adorable kind! Any wider plans for your new Polaroid camera, or are you just gonna have fun with it as and when?
Yeah, I’d be interested to read what gaming related Christmas loot people got.
Aside from some generic "gamer socks" and a couple of Sonic-related stocking fillers, my haul this year was light on gaming stuff (and light in general, which I was happy with). Like you, I did get a little bit of money, some of which I'm gonna set aside to help with 2026's big releases.
My wife gifted me TMNT the IDW collection volume 4
My brother recently moved house, and has ended up turning a spare room into a bit of a library. He was a big TMNT fan as a kid, so I got him The Last Ronin hardback. Figured it would blend in with his largely serious-looking book collection whilst acting as a reminder that cool stuff is still cool. Must be a bit of a Turtles Christmas because, thanks to an entirely unrelated suggestion from my partner, I ended up watching the 1990 live-action movie on Christmas Day!

@Werehog I haven't seen that since I was a kid, maybe i'll watch it. Loved the animated show and that film. It wasn't until I started getting into comics in my 20's that I discovered that the animated show was based on a more mature comic series. So now in my 40's I'm catching up with those in collected editions. The Last Ronin is one I'm very much looking forward to reading.
