I just had a thought & now I want to renew my PS NOW to play a PS2 game that I actually physically own , but what if there was a way the PS5 could at the least recognize the PS2 disc & then connect to PS NOW to access and stream the game back to your console ? The disc could at least act as a key to unlock the game for you to play if it’s available on PS NOW . I guess you could throw in PS3 games as well.
The only preventable issue I could think of with this , is if sony (trying really hard not to use $) charges for it and still requires you to pay for the service .
oh wait , it was a remaster collection of a PS2 game i was playing on PS NOW ; i don’t think PS Now actually has PS2 games to stream . and the ps2 game i played had trophy support . damn this is a flopic … smh, oops
