Topic: Ps5? Should I wait??

I want to pre-order PlayStation 5 console but I usually don't like to buy consoles when they first are released because in the past most of the consoles that were first released usually were buggy and had some hardware issues until a few months to even several months later when the console is already out and everything has been worked out which I usually buy consoles several months later after release to even a year later... My question is should I preorder it or should I wait?

Well pre-orders are completely sold out. Your only choice is really to wait. The only reason to pay extra to get it early at this point is FOMO. There are plenty cross-gen games for the next 6 months at least so you’re not totally missing out.

My advice is wait until 5 years later.
Probably Slim model after 5 years and fixes of some issues on PS5 Fat model.

You'd also probably be just as safe waiting it out until picking a console up when it launches or the weekend of considering Sony did reassure people they'd have more PS5s in stock this time around compared to PS4s in 2013 when that console launched

You have no choice but to wait right now as I doubt that you will get one at launch and stores probably have pre-order waiting lists so the next batch will be sold before they even come in.

How long you should wait is up to you. I prefer to buy sooner so I get the benefits of the new generation sooner. If you wait 3yrs+ for a slim, I have had 3yrs+ of gaming at a higher level - 1000's of hours worth of enjoyment.

Yes my PS3 Phat ended up with YLOD after about 3yrs of gaming and it was 'disappointing' to have to replace it with a Slim but my PS4 was still working perfectly when I replaced that with my PS4 Pro. For the 1000's of hours I spent on my PS3, I got a LOT of enjoyment that I would have missed out on had I waited for a Slim.

There is no right/wrong answer, its up to you and how important gaming is...

You have to wait a bit as you’re not getting one at launch unless you cap overnight for the hope of getting an extra PS5 that might or might not be there, but my launch PS4 works great so I’m not worried about that. I enjoyed the PS4 from day one, and now with Demon’s Souls as a launch title, I’ll enjoy the PS5 even more from day one, getting the most out of it. I say go for it if your an enthusiast.
