Topic: PS5 rest mode reboot if external plugged into rear ports. Black screens!

So I have had this ps5 for a bit now (Day one) and I recently attached my ps4 external to it to access all my ps4 games.
Even with no game (PS5 or 4) running in the back ground, if I place it in rest mode, within 5 minutes, the PS5 flashes blue and goes dark. Every time. Then I need to manually power on or plug in the controller to get it back on. Thought it bricked first time..
It will boot, do a system repair, an external drive repair and just black screen. Press and hold options gets me a "No access" circle.

I literally need to unplug the power cord and the hard drive, let the system repair, then attach the drive and allow it to repair the usb drive after the PS5 has fully booted. Crazy!
I plugged the drive into the PS4 and did a rest mode on the PS5 and no flash, no reboot, no error message. Before I attached the drive, never had a rest mode issue.
Just me?

The drive is a Costco purchased Seagate Backup Plus 5TB formatted to exfat on a PC. Never any issues on ps4.

I've had my Seagate Expansion 4tb plugged in for a week now. It was also the drive i used with my Pro. No problems whatsoever. I have only ever left in rest mode for a maximum of a couple or hours though.

Maybe the PS5’s are fussy with drives? Hope you get it sorted.

I had rest mode issues with my PS5 also. Defaulted to shutting down each time. Now realized I don't actively play more than 500Gb of games. So moved all games I play to the console and disconnected the drive for the time being. Hoping a patch will be released soon there is definitely an issue that needs to be fixed.
