I have a 1440p monitor and I found it really stupid that the ps5 don't support 1440p resolution, there is really not a single reason to not support it, why do they want to enrage us for free when they can just add it? They are really letting down a big portion of people here...

Its not a big proportion of people they are letting down because majority play on the TV not a monitor.

You think that, but you would be so much suprise to know how many people play ps4 on a monitor, you have no idea, do you think people that play warzone on ps4 play on a stupid tv? With a terrible respon's time??🤣🤣 think a little plz.

Sony have looked at the numbers and deemed it not necessary for PS5 to support it, ie not enough people have used it in the past. They have said if enough people show interest that it can updated at a later date. So if you want it, you better get in contact with Sony.

Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

While I’m not going to engage with name slinging, I do know a lot of people who use a monitor, specifically people who play MLB The Show or Warzone. If you’re playing to a certain level online in a game, a monitor offers better levels of input lag. I don’t think people should write off the numbers who use a monitor for that purpose.

The ultra Hardcore players play on a monitor.

For most of us, gaming is a passion, but it’s not how we make a living. I play Fortnite a lot and while I know I would perform better with the lower latency of a 1440p monitor, I’m not a hardcore streamer. I play games to relax and take me out of the world. I work a 50 hour per week job to make money.

So I enjoy everything on my 55” 4K TV.

I agree that Sony should support it.

But I do think it’s not super common outside of really hardcore players, the guys who are trying to stream and get into esports. Or just really competitive players.

That’s a small fraction of the overall gaming community.

But yes, Sony needs to add it. Because it seems lazy on their end when it’s something that is easy to implement.
