Do you get boost mode benefits at all? Or improved loading times?

Only played GT Sport and Ratchet and Clank so far but loading times are noticeably quicker.
I've gone from a base PS4, both seem noticeably smoother so I assume they're getting at least PS4 Pro level boosting.

@SJBUK Ah ok cheers. I'm coming from a base PS4 too, waiting on a delivery for my external hard drive. Finally, Arkham Knight without screen tearing!

I don't have an external hard drive I was wondering if a ssd would be faster or just go with a cheapo

@Chevyguy SSD would be faster, certainly for installing games to it in the first place and you'll get pretty good deals this time of year

Older than I care to remember but have been gaming since owning a wooden Atari 2600 and played pretty much everything inbetween.

@Chevyguy Go SSD if you can afford it. I picked up a Crucial CT1000X8SSD9 X8 1TB from Amazon for £95. Expensive compared to spinning rust but fast and 1TB is enough storage for me.

Played some Days Gone on external, and I did notice a difference in load times. I'm using a 1TB Samsung T5 SSD and it's nice and fast. Plus I use rest mode and have had no issues at all once I switched the PS5 to supply power to USB ports all the time in rest mode on. Initially I did have a rest mode external hdd error
