Seems like $ony (PlayStation) really favors Europe for some reason . They should move their headquarters there instead .

@nomither6 It's more like Europe favors PlayStation, if you ask me. Xbox doesn't ship nearly as much consoles to Europe and they're still easier to buy than in NA, because the demand is nowhere near as high.
Meanwhile, PS5 sales relative to population are similar between the regions.

@sanderson72 Well I did buy a red controller about 6 months ago when I thought I'd be able to get a PS5 when R&C released. I think that's about it for us, will transfer the external HDD over from the PS4 which I'll need to keep hooked up for PSVR. If PS+ counts as an accessory we do need that, hoping for a $40 BF sale. I think that's it for now. Oh and some games maybe. 😂

Yes, I'm keeping my eyes out for a Black Friday sale on PS+ subs - ShopTo will hopefully discount the Sony discount again, though I'm still set until Dec 2023 already!

@nomither6 Considering the Sony Direct websites have only just opened in Europe, I'd say United Sony Of America favours those over the pond.
Personally, I wish they WOULD have set up a Europe based headquarters as we've supported them all this time over the XBox (possible blip in early PS3 life but RROD soon saw to that!) though we'd still have to put up with Jimbob wherever.

@sanderson72 Dec 23, so 2 years? I can't imagine PS+ is still the same then, at some point they need to do something with Now. Though I suppose that does lock in price savings for you as we all know nothing ever gets cheaper.

Gaming is an expensive hobby which is why phones will kill consoles some day. My 16yo is heading towards PC master race - was thinking about building them 1 for Christmas so they can learn the hardware if I couldn't get a PS5, but I did - so between computers and phones Sony can only keep consoles alive for so long. Nintendo will keep making portables for the kids, parents need something on the cheaper side.

Actually just got an order in for one today so I am pretty stoked, you get free Express shipping if you have PlayStation Plus too.

@RogerRoger Perfect timing, mine arrived about 15 or 20 minutes ago. Man is that thing heavy. My wife and I have been discussing when to give it to the kids. It's a Christmas gift, but that seems a long time to wait. The 1 kid in college will be home next Wednesday, I'm advocating on their behalf for impromptu gift giving then. My wife might be willing to split the difference when the kid comes home again mid-Dec. Parenting has it's own calendar.

@RogerRoger We'll have a blast once I figure out all the upgrade paths for the PS4 games we're playing. It was enjoyable making fun of it all while I didn't have a PS5 to care about (and didn't think I'd get 1for awhile) but now I need a spreadsheet for all the permutations: free upgrades, $10 upgrades, only on PS4 w/ BC minor improvements, only on PS5, and whatever Squenix is doing w/ FF7R Intergrade Intermission. 😂

@RogerRoger Decided to skip the extra FF7R stuff for now, already watched my kid play it on PS4 w/ PS+, maybe when part 2 drops. Did remember I need to play KH3 which I own stand alone on PS4, and the 1-6 bundle before that, but never got 2.8, or the new DLC. Kingdom Hearts needs more like a database program that a spreadsheet.

Still haven't decided when to unbox it, guess that decision should come first.

@Dpishere Yeah I'm currently between PS+ subscriptions - expired earlier this year, trying to find a BF sale that isn't $39.99 or a retailer that will accept their $5 offers I have on digital - so I bought Ratchet & Clank to get the free shipping. Wasn't express but I ordered it Tuesday afternoon and it arrived Friday morning so only a couple of days wait. My wife is making me wait longer to open, we're still discussing the date as it's a Christmas gift for the kids. Thanksgiving Eve should count as Christmas. 😉

@rjejr Yeah mine is supposed to arrive Monday so I am super excited for that, got Demons Souls for 40 bucks and Resident Evil Village for 20 bucks so I have PS5 games waiting, haven't decided if I plan to play one of those or play God of War via backwards compatibility, as I have yet to play that game but have owned it for years. Can't wait to see what the PS5 can do.

@RogerRoger Thanks leaning towards Demons Souls at the moment, huge fan of the souls games and it would be the perfect way to christen the new console.

@JohnnyShoulder I have a Pro, had some good times with it but ready to play games with faster load times and 60 fps.

I got the link as well, but I’m going to pass for now. I’m going to wait another 6 months or so.
Got a Pro & a normal PS4 with plenty of games still in the backlog so I’m good. Also gives some time for the games to be discounted.

@Dpishere Don't forget all the PS+ Game collection games if you have PS+. I'm in the process of buying a 1 year subscription now, it's on sale everywhere for $40 down from $60, just deciding which retailer I'm not currently mad at, I get mad a lot. Somehow I've been waiting for Last Guardian for 12 years (E3 reveal 2009 on PS3) but still haven't played it yet. My kids have a few on that list they want to play. And I downloaded some PS5 games earlier like Bugsnax and Maneater before my PS+ expired in June or whenever. Enjoy God of War. At least when the game ends halfway thru the story you won't have long to wait. Really wish I had done that. 😝

@RogerRoger I played Kingdom Hearts 1 and really enjoyed it, got halfway thru 2 and decided it was just more of the same but not as fun. In the middle of 2 there's a ight where you have to beat 1,000 cannon fodder type dudes. I did it, took a few minutes, but I had had enough at that point.

I don't recall having this laser cannon, I just used my keyblade, 1 by 1 by 1 and on and on and on...

i forgot if i replied in here already, but.. i got the email months back, last year actually... and it magically got deleted, no joke lol. i was like nooooooooo! but summer 2021 i finally got one online.
