So I was wondering The following.

1 ) GTA V online what is the Community like in that game is it Toxic, Friendly?

2 ) Do I need to use my Microphone and do I need to communicate with people?

The reason I am asking these 2 questions I come from games I've played alot of years & always had the same friends which has made life easier for me when gaming. Because I suffer from Severe Anxiety & Depression. But none of them own a console & none of them are GTA V Fans. When it comes to console gaming I normally play offline & Alone but wanna try some online gaming. That's why I am asking what the community is like in that game & Do I need to communicate with people online in that game because if I don't know people i struggle to adapt to new people I've always stayed with the same friends since gaming.

@Davehunt I haven’t been on there for a while but it’s much like most online games from my experience, there are examples of both ends of the spectrum and everything in between. If you get no takers here, your best bet might be to post in the GTAV specific Reddit or discord, explaining your situation and that you’d like to play with some like-minded people,

**** DLC!

@Davehunt the free roam can be toxic for sure. mostly people killing you for no reason.

you don't need a mic to play group content,in fact most group content is played by random people who don't know each other at all. it has a automated match making system so you don't need friends either.

1 . Its what you expect from a GTA game online . if you consider people shooting & killing you for fun and causing mayhem ''toxic'' in GTA , then idk what to tell you ; other than to maybe play something more your speed like ''mario party'' online , IF thats the case. You can always activate snowflake-mode (passive-mode) too , to avoid being attacked and/or interacting with other players.

2 . You don't need to say a single word to anyone if you don't want to. The online is playable without voice communication and , you can always ''text'' other players .

I mean what I class as Toxic is abusive behaviour, ppl being rude stuff like this.

@Davehunt Well , that sounds like it has to do with voice-chat then . As i've said previously , you don't have to talk to anyone , or hear anyone . You're good to go .

@Davehunt I had a great time with GTA Online but that was mostly playing with people I know.

As said above, free roam can be a nightmare with griefers. The heist missions are awesome but can be a struggle with random people, especially without a mic. Races, generic missions etc would be fine.

GTA Online has lobby choices. There are public, private, and solo public lobbies. Public can be fun mixing with and meeting randoms that you may become friends with and even forming a crew with. Public lobbies however are always in some state of chaos with randoms likely killing you at any moment.

The good news is private invite lobbies. Play solo, with a friends, or with a crew with no annoying randoms interfering with what you are doing. Private lobbies offer play in most activities other than business opertation. For business operations there are tricks for getting into a solo public lobby where randoms can not grief you.

What i do is play public and private depending on what i want to do. Also for a ton of info and advise there are forums that may help you. Hope you have lots of fun with GTA Online.

@Davehunt I put quite a few hours into GTA Online and had fun. I played it with existing friends but we picked up quite a few new buddies along the way.

Since there are so many players on there, if you meet someone you don't like, it's very easy to leave the lobby and never encounter them again. Just quit out and remember that it's not you, it's them.

A good place to start might be to check out reddit or wherever and see if there are any GTA V/Man United supporters groups. They're both popular, so there should be plenty of crossover between the two

Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.

When u say u can also ask on Reddit? Is there any specific 1 on Reddit? Because there are quite a few. From the replies u all give me tho It's a good game to play online if u have friends already. See I don't mind trying to make new friends. I just can't stand Toxic players who are Bullies, Trolling as in insulting ppl alot and swearing(Being abusive) alot at ppl. Never been a fan of bullies etc. It just ruins the experience and fun when gaming.

@Davehunt I'm not sure, but you could check out a few threads or message boards, get a feel for which ones you like and then drop a message in to introduce yourself.

The toxic players are out there for sure, but once you've found a group you like to hang out with, the evil-doers become much easier to deal with. It can even be quite funny sometimes. Once, me and my mates were merrily making our way back to base in a bus, when some griefer picked us up with a magnet attached to his helicopter and flew us straight into a wind turbine. It completely ruined the mission, but damn it was funny

Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.
