Topic: Fall Guys Pushsquare community event

So one of the most anticipated games of 2020 is almost here. If you are a fan of ninja warrior, Takeshi Castle or Wipeout the TV series, Fall guys is the gaming equivalent.

Wednesday could be a great night to come together and have a few hours blasting through - hopefully racking up some Trophies!

If anyone's interested @me and we will set up a party.

Yep, definitely interested in giving this one a go, great idea, mcnoisy. Will be interesting to see how popular it ends up being compared to Rocket League.

@themcnoisy It's rare for me to be interested in multiplayer games, but I am excited for Fall Guys. As long as I'm not asleep or busy when it happens, I'll be up for playing with the community here.

@LieutenantFatman @crimsontadpoles awesome, obviously I have no idea how the multiplayer works or wherever you can join teams or not so could be a strange experiment!

I’ll let you know after I’ve tried Fall Guys out. I should have a clear picture of whether or not I enjoy it by tomorrow evening.

@themcnoisy Having played the beta for the past week or so, you can create a party of up to four players before matchmaking.

Yeah, I think there is a bit of skill required to win, but definitely a fair bit of luck on some rounds as well.
What time did you have in mind for some games?

@Kidfried it was great, we played for maybe 90 minutes. Ryall and Crim got a win each and we did well most of the time. In one game we had 3 of us in the last 4!

Some of the games are better than others. All of the races, hexagon floor, staying on the cylinder, dodging the platforms, fruit memorisation and 3 team boulder push are all great imo.

My least preferred game is tail tag as having to grab is hit and miss, if you didn't have to grab and had a seconds worth of immunity when you take control it would be better.

Another rough game which we didn't play earlier is the secret path game. The idea sounds good on paper but I had a situation earlier on the last row of squares and nobody wanted to make the fatal move. I did and got warped to the start again. Everyone else then took the other path. Maybe a few checkpoints would be better - 3 sections of 4 or 5 tiles in length maybe?

Then the last game I dislike is 3 team football hoarding. It feels unfair and its difficult to keep up with the action. The physics are okay but there isn't much strategy other than trying to hit a ball in your team area direction. The 2 team fall ball is much better.

So yeah great game but it really depends on what new levels are coming up. It could be a flash in the pan if the developers don't play their cards right. I already dread the tag games coming up in the rotation.

@themcnoisy If they end up basing seasons on classic gameshows like they suggested then this could be a real winner. Fingers crossed for genuine rounds from Takeshi’s Castle like Bridge Ball or obstacles from the Total Wipeout course.
