I have an original PlayStation 3, you know the one that can play all PlayStation games, but only really use it for blue rays, dvds and streaming.
So while watching it is really dark, is there a setting in the console to fix this?
I’ve changed the tv settings but to no avail, I’ve looked on the internet but because it’s a ps3 it’s hard to find anything.
I’m normally on Nintendo Life, if you recognize my user
@Bunkerneath I'm no expert, but a quick Google shows me that a couple other folks have had similar issues to you before. They suggest a couple things.
First, try changing your PS3's RGB option (which you'll find under its Display settings). There are only two choices, 'Full' and 'Limited', so tweak it back and forth and see if that does anything. There also might be a difference between 1080i and 1080p so flick between them, too.
Also try and find your Black Level settings (either on your TV or on your PS3, nobody's specific about where this might actually be, sorry) and make sure they're on 'high'.
Hope this helps!

@Bunkerneath only thing I can really recommend is try a factory reset on the TV and PS3 and a new HDMI cable because why not? Tried toggling RGB between full and limited? Checked you’re not wearing sunglasses?
