Topic: Anyone playing Fortnite Battle Royale?

I've just relocated for work and I'm a bit out of synch with a lot of my old gaming friends these days, so I'm just wondering if anyone is playing Fortnite's free Battle Royale mode? I've not played it yet but it's finishing overnight so I'll most certainly be on in the near future! Let me know if you fancy a game!

For a free game it's pretty good if I didn't already have so many other games right now I would play it more often as the bit I did try I did like it.

@Baitsausage Not yet, but that's only because I'm not into PvP games. I do however want to try out the PvE portion when it becomes free supposedly next year, though.

@Baitsausage I like the game, but don't really have an incentive to play that much. I'd love to pick it up again, though!

I throw in a few games now and then between other games. They've added leaderboards recently but I don't play enough to compete seriously. I consider top-20 a good result

I'm also in the "would play more if I had time" camp. I really like what I've played of it so far, and it seems to be super popular, too!

@get2sammyb Agree and giving it's popularity you'd think PUBG would want some of the action but they are kinda screwing themselves signing an exclusiveity deal with MS.

Exactly the same as pubg in as much as its alright. No incentive to keep coming back. My son has it on xbox and has been enjoying it, we just finished 3rd earlier and its a good social game. But the graphics are a bit generic and the rush of excitement doesnt really come like I was expecting. More of a "oh well thats that then".

Just like pubg (and this is my opinion) its throwaway. If a similar mode was in Destiny or Cod they would easy best either of these games.

I think youtube has helped push this sub genre way further than it has any right to go in the current state these 2 games are. I think alot of minecraft players have emigrated to these games.
