@GeeEssEff no Marathon for me, I'm afraid. On top of being autistic I'm also visually impaired, so couldn't make heads nor tails of the UI. During the server slam I found it cluttered and confusing and couldn't resize the text so I gave up pretty quickly. Enjoy your weekend 🙂
@Markatron84 I’m sorry to hear friend and hopefully you enjoy whatever you decide to play. 🙏
If it’s any consolation I’m slightly far s sighted and have pretty bad dyslexia, also socially awkward beyond words. 😂
@Markatron84 Yeah, the quality of this site’s dropped noticeably over just this past year alone. They’ve gotten strict with deeming what comments are considered “unconstructive” & i’ve had to blo- I mean , ignore, several relatively new users because they’re toxic. Couple that with this site also treading radical fanboyism recently, and, yeah, it’s pretty wack. I get this is a Playstation enthusiasts site, which is a beautiful thing, but there’s a difference between being a fan & a toxic fanboy - and that goes for anything: sports, movies/shows, apparel, electronics (like toxic iphone fanboys), etc
On the flip side, one positive i can say about this site is that they honestly do let you criticize the hell out of Playstation though 😂 , but it’s just that this whole “unconstructive” violation crap is getting wild.
I love how replies from myself and @GeeEssEff have been deleted, when the next exchange between us was us coming to a mutual understanding and respect of one another. That's fantastic. I can't imagine why anyone would accuse you of being trigger happy when it comes to deleting comments. How that rug has any more room under it at this point is anyone's guess.
Also, I appreciate the time the staff initially took here to address my/our concerns, but I see we're done, apparently. I was actively engaging in and providing you with what you wanted - polite discussion and constructive feedback - but it's clear that I wasn't a million miles off when I said you'd just wait for it to blow over, was I?
Furthermore, I see the disrespect for the readers continues over on Nintendo Life. If this is how you treat your readers, not expecting any blowback is delusional.
@Markatron84 the initial exchange in this thread was a clear breach of the community rules and the definition of flaming by name-calling/arguing, hence its removal.
The exchange afterwards was kept as both of you had cooled down and found the mutual respect for each other, which is great to see. I'm not sure what different outcome you would expect in that scenario?
@antdickens sorry, I just didn't see the need to delete it when it was resolved in the very next exchange. I get the need to have community rules and guidelines, but the scorched earth approach is overkill, in my opinion. Plus, because you don't remove the entire thing, just the content, you're removing any context and just leaving this ambiguous "ooooh, this was naughty!" message for all to see. Just delete the entire thing, I guess.
@Markatron84 I can see what you are saying, but we always aim to ensure the rules are applied evenly and most importantly, consistently, and therefore will remove the offending comments, even if the argument is resolved later. This is especially the case when there is swearing or name-calling; also, these comments are often reviewed in isolation as there isn't always time/resource to read the entire thread and determine whether it was resolved or not.
We get 100s (if not 1000s) of comments posted every day, and through our experience, it's the best system on balance. I doubt there is a "perfect" system for all scenarios, and we put more resources into this than most other sites/companies our size.

As someone who moderates a private forum with twice the members count as PS, this is a 1000% fact. There is sadly no perfect system, no “one size fits all” solution. And this is not just a moderation front, but even on the side of users. Petty arguments break out all the time, you simply cannot predict where they’ll head, and inconsistencies in moderation is something that’s not only unavoidable, it should be expected to occur every now and then especially if inner-disagreements occur within the mod team.
Not to say that it should have a dismissal “$&it happens!” attitude or anything, but moreso that the very concept of making errors should not be demonized.
Thankfully so far I don’t think this has happened in this particular thread, rather just miscommunication at worst that’s seemingly being resolved one message at a time.
I love the userbase and mod team of this place so much, i even feel way safer here and way more welcomed than my own moderated forum. (And the one tiny private forum I used to frequent that went defunct due to internet civil wars).

@antdickens It's worth mentioning - I think you guys are doing a great job on the whole. To me, the notion that Push Square has "gotten worse" lately is downstream of online (or offline) discourse degenerating generally, especially since the pandemic.
