I just got a used/refurb ps3 and I'm trying to connect to public wifi.
When I open the browser to sign in I just get a blank page.
Tried clearing cache already.
Any ideas?

@Gfunk Just to clarify, you're trying to use the PS3's internet browser to access the PS Store, yeah?

Because the PS3's internet browser stopped being supported long ago. I'd seriously recommend you never use it, particularly to sign in to anything. Once your PS3 is connected to a network, sign in to PSN and access the PS Store via the dedicated icons on the far right of the XMB.

Needed to sign in to the public wifi via browser because I
Needed to click on the "accept terms" box and then enter password.

@Gfunk Sorry for the delay; if you're creating a PSN profile for the first time, you can do this directly via your console. There's no need to use a browser. You can create a PSN profile on a PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone via whatever your preferred browser is, but it's easier to just head to PlayStation Network on the XMB and select Sign Up, then Create a New Account.

Any "accept terms" box will be integrated into whichever process you're using, so you shouldn't have to switch between your PS3 and its browser to complete set-up.

Forget I mentioned the ps store.

I was trying to access public wifi.
The sign in was similar to something you would see in a hotel - you need to check "accept terms" box before you enter your password.
So the ps3 cannot connect automatically and you need to open the browser to check the "terms" box.

I am back home now anyways (no internet access besides my phone)
I updated the ps3 to the latest update via storage media.
Fyi the browser is also updated now.

@Gfunk Glad it worked out in the end, but sorry you couldn't connect whilst on the road.

Still be wary of the PS3's browser in future, as I'm pretty sure its updates are few and far between, and it's running on old background code which could make it vulnerable.
