Topic: Please help - My headset microphones all stopped working with PS4 and PS5

Hi all - would really appreciate some help here

I have 2 x SteelSeries 1 Wired headsets which my kids use on my PS4 and PS5 every day. Never had a problem but last night they both stopped working on both platforms. I've tried everything I can think of and I have audio with them bu the microphones won't work on either the PS4 or PS5. It's not a muted issue and I've tried doing the microphone test on different gamepads but they don't pick anything up.

The only way I could get a reading is if I didn't plug it in properly to the PS5 pad, so left a few mm from fully plugging it in and then I can get a reading but when I push it in fully - nothing

The SteelSeries support website is pathetic so losing my cool bigtime. The probability of both breaking on the same day is tiny so is there something to do with drivers for this model of headset perhaps? Is there anything any one can suggest as to why this might have happened?
