Topic: Playstation 5 shutting down

Having a bit of a weird issue here with my PS5, on certain games (Cod,fifa) after around an hour or so of gameplay the playstation just shuts down completely without warning and I have to turn it off at the plug and turn back on but when I turn back on I could then watch netflix for about 3/4 hours with no issues.

I have rebuilt the database countless times and have bought a new power supply for the PlayStation. It only seems to be with more “powerful” games so to speak, fall guys seems fine and other similar games to that. Just wondering if there is a fix to this.

I have cleaned fan also, the playstation was bought on uk release date so unsure if still in warranty

@Lmuir94 @Kairu This is exactly what was happening with mine. I didn't manage to solve the issue having tried everything that you've suggested you tried but it definitely seems to relate to power requirements or a game being a PS5 one as PS4 games didn't cause it. It usually happened to me when playing GT7 but could occur playing other games as well.

Mine started acting up around the time it was really hot here over summer so I assumed it was related to heat however I'd also not long before installed the latest beta OS release. Hopefully yours is under warranty and you can get it looked at and fixed / replaced for free.
