I really need some help. I’ve tried resetting my controller, I’ve tried rebuilding database, I got a new controller and a new headset (I’m using a wired connection plugged into my controller) and I switched between HDMI and digital connection. I heard that the problem might be that my router is in the same room as my PS4, but I can’t move it because both my PS4 and my PC don’t work well without Ethernet cords.

At this point, I have no idea what to do, it’s so annoying trying to listen to music and just hearing it lag so much. It also affects my microphone in parties.

PLEASE HELP!!!

@Senor_Monke15 I've never found the headset into the controller method decent for anything other than voice chat. Same reasons as you, if I pipe game audio through the controller it lags or stutters. I figured it was because of the Bluetooth of the controller to the console. Either way, I never bothered with it after that.

If I ever voice chat then I'll use the controller headset port but if I want to hear game audio then I'll just plug my headphones directly into the monitor (with an extension). I can't say there has been any situations where I absolutely needed game audio and voice chat through the headphones at the same time because Id only need game audio if I didn't want to wake my partner up and I can't say id be using voice chat if that was the case.

Sorry if that's not what you want to hear but I thought I'd share so you know that it's not just a problem with your set up. Maybe somebody else has experience getting it to work better than I have.

See ya!

Wait, so can I just get an extension and plug my headset into my TV? I just have an extreme issue with my music lagging as I don’t really have any headphones for my iPhone.

@Senor_Monke15 The microphone obviously won't work that way but it should be fine for listening (if maybe a little inconvenient due to being wired to the tv). Most TVs have a headphone jack.

@Senor_Monke15 yep, what @Voltan says!

Check your TV has a headphone socket first though and yeah the mic won't work but it's probably the cheapest way of listening through headphones. 2 meter Audio jack extension leads cost like £2 from ebay. Most headphones and sockets are 3.5mm, you'll need a male to female lead if that's the way you wanna go with it

See ya!
