I recently bought a used PS3 slim that was restored to default. I played Alice Madness Returns and was able to download American Mgcees Alice through the disc. However it did not show up, but I could play it when I boot up Madness returns at the title screen.
I finally managed to get funds to my account and downloaded Limbo, it said it downloaded and installed but I cannot find it anywhere.
@mist666 I am not certain but I believe the original Alice game was actually DLC for Madness Returns so you could only play it by booting MR and choosing it from the menu. It didn't have its own icon iirc.
Not sure about your second question though. Have you checked your games tab? Is there an "Other" folder in your games tab? If you have things set to appear in folders then new downloads normally get pushed to the "Other" folder by default as you haven't input a folder name for it yet.
Perhaps it hasn't installed yet? If you set it to background download then you have to move over to "Download Management" in the next tab to the right of Games (I think it might be called Network) and click the game which will prompt you to Install Now.
Have a look at those things. It's been some time since I used the PS3 so my memory is a bit hazy
