I'm Gem, also known as Dreamland Gem online! I’m a huge Kirby collector and Community Manager across all of Hookshot's sites & social media channels. I love being part of the gaming community as it's the best way to meet like-minded people and share the love for our interests.
Experience
Prior to joining Hookshot Media, Gem was focused on building her social media channels, which resulted in some amazing opportunities to work with brands such as Nintendo and Capcom.
In 2022, she joined the Hookshot team as Community Manager! In this role Gem creates a variety of content for the site’s social media channels, from engaging posts to short-form video content, all while sharing the site’s news and reviews.

Expertise
Gem’s first ever console was the Nintendo 64, followed by pretty much every Nintendo handheld and home console! She’s also owned most of the PlayStations, as well as an Xbox One.
Gem’s favourite console of all-time is the Nintendo 3DS, and considers it a perfect handheld system with an incredible library of games - it’s the go-to travel console in her opinion
Action adventure games are my favourite genre, as I love getting fully immersed in a video game world and feeling a sense of adventure while I explore and discover everything the game has to offer.
