Electronic Arts appears to be almost hellbent on not developing Skate 4, so indie developers are producing their own take on the hotly-requested title in the meantime. Skater XL is one promising example, but we'll have to wait a little longer than originally expected to play it on PlayStation 4. Developer Easy Day Studios has delayed the game by a couple of weeks to 28th July 2020.
Confirmed in a tweet addressing its expectant community, the team said that the delay was partly out of its control despite efforts made to hit the original date of 7th July. "We appreciate your patience as we finalize the game. Not to worry-between now and then, we will be showing more new content & features that will be available at launch and continuing to polish the game. We appreciate your understanding and want to thank you all for being the best community in all of gaming!"

I’ll wait for a review on this one. Way into the remake of Tony Hawk 1 and 2.
Given how long it’s taken for marginal updates to the PC version, I was expecting this. Definitely not ready for a full release yet, despite the base gameplay being great. Session is the opposite, they’ve built a proper world and it’s the gameplay and presentation that needs expanded.
Great i dont like the controls on tony hawk and the silly combo grinds and carp. Ea skate was the best skateboard series ever i hope skater xl will be as great and fun.
EA may well have missed the boat on Skate 4 been a good seller cos most I think will get the Tony Hawk remakes and that'll be their skater fix.
I feel like I should pick this up since that's 2 days before my birthday, but I just dont care about skateboarding games anymore. I don't even think I'm going to get the Tonk Hawk remaster.
Depends on price, but at the moment it's all about the Tony Hawk remakes for me. If this is cheap enough I might get it as a stop gap until THPS releases.
@shonenjump86 me too it would take a miracle to better Tony Hawk.........but you never know.
