It’s been a month since the excellent Apex Legends launched, and in that short stretch of time it’s earned its place around the Battle Royale table. But developer Respawn Entertainment had promised that its Battle Pass would launch in March, and it looks like the first details have leaked. Spotted – typo and all – on the Origin homepage, it confirms that you’ll be spending around 950 Apex coins in order to gain access to the premium tier’s loot.
EA currently sells 1,000 Apex coins for around £7.99/$9.99, so this is a very fair price – depending upon how good the items are, of course. The publisher is still yet to officially detail the Battle Pass, but we’d expect more information to emerge imminently. Interested? Be the last squad standing in the comments section below.

'Battle Pass'.
Kill me.
I don't even know what the the heck a "Battle Pass" is, despite the article being written in a way that assumes everybody does.
@RogerRoger It's like Game Pass, but with less games and more battles I think.
@Octane ...and what is a Game Pass?!
Don't worry; I'm grateful for the reply, but I reckon I'm just a lost cause at this point (especially since my special "pass" for playing a game is called a "debit card" which I use to obtain "discs" at my local "store").
$10???? Might have to buy two for me and my friend.
@RogerRoger Xbox Game Pass, it was a joke
The Battle Pass probably grants you new costumes and guns; maybe new maps too, but I don't think they'd want to split the community. Something like that would be a safe bet I think.
@Octane Xbox, eh? That explains it. Wrong site, pal.
At least I get what a Battle Pass is now, thanks to you. It's my new thing I learned for today!
@RogerRoger Basically a Season Pass. I could be wrong here, cause I don't play these kinds of games very often, but I think it's similar to a season pass. Or maybe it's the same thing, but with a different name, because you know, game companies are fine with ripping off each other's games, but the terminology needs to be completely unique and original
@Octane They should all just be honest and call it a Premium Pass. Pay more for shiny things. I mean, heck, early DLC was called "Premium Content" in many PS3 games, signposting the clear intention of making people pay more for it. I guess that didn't abbreviate so well, though... "I don't play PC games, but I download and install PC on my console." "Say what?"
The game is already fading for me do I'll pass. No pun intended.
A Battle Pass is a pass with several levels (usually 100). Each level has different items, like cosmetics, extra exp, currencies.
You play rounds in a battle royale, gain exp, level up, get items.
I don't start a f2p game without being ready to spend some money n case I like it. $10 is plenty fair for the amount of entertainment, I think.
$10 is super fair price! I'm sure they'll get plenty of subscriptions.
