Batman: Arkham Asylum Won The Best Game Gong At The BAFTAs, Despite Uncharted 2 Taking Home Four Awards.

There’s something a little iffy about Uncharted 2: Among Thieves’ denial of Best Game during last night’s video game BAFTAs. Despite beating everything to win four gongs at last night’s awards show, Batman: Arkham Asylum managed to walk away with the Best Game gong — despite being beaten by Uncharted 2 in numerous other characters. Don’t get us wrong, Batman’s a great game, but we can’t help but feel its British development roots allowed it to take the award it really probably shouldn’t have.

PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe Is The Definitive Way To Play Tower Defence's Best.

Dylan Cuthbert, the president of Pixeljunk’s Q-Games, has confirmed that PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe will get a UMD release on April 27th in the US. The PSP title was originally released as a download on the Playstation Store, and earned a 4/4 in our review.

If you’re yet to play it, and can’t bare to use up space on your PSP’s Pro-Duo, this is well worth checking out.

The Playstation Portable's A Sales Machine In Japan Right Now.

Sony’s Playstation Portable is still top of the Japanese hardware charts. This week it managed another 39k sales, with the PS3 mustering 26k. The PSPgo continues to flounder at the bottom of the charts with just over 1,000 units sold in the past week. Pretty disasterous.

But Sony probably won’t care well the regular SKU of their handheld system is topping the charts. Will anything catch it?

Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep Will Get A Western Release This Summer.

Square Enix has confirmed that Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep will hit the PSP exclusively in the US this Summer. They’ve since also confirmed that the game will hit Europe during the same period.

According to Square Enix the Western release will have a few additional features including an “extra boss and a few additional multiplayer options”.

Kingdom Hearts fans are currently in a wild frenzy.
