Is This The Playstation "Gem"?

So, we’ve been referring to Sony’s motion control solution as the Playstation Motion Controller for months now. Why? Because, it doesn’t really have a name. The word “Sphere” has been thrown about in previous months, but it hasn’t really stuck.

Now it seems, John Riccitiello -head of EA – might know a little more than the rest of us.

Speaking at the UBS 37th Annual Global Media Conference this morning in New York, Riccitiello said: “In the coming year, both Sony and Microsoft have announced new controllers. Motion sensor controls, Natal and Gem, these are likely to bring new consumers into the marketplace”.

Well then, “Gem” eh? It’s simple and catchy. But also, a bit, meh? We’d have to see the logo.
