RIP Michael Jackson.

We feel like that's a more personal thing to not get bogged down into on a Playstation blog, but needless to say we're most upset about the loss of one of the biggest music icons that there will ever be.

Given Michael Jackson's attachment to Epic Records - a Sony label - familiar corporate types from the Sony board have come out and offered their thoughts on the legend.

Commenting on his passing, Sir Howard Stringer, Chairman, CEO and President, Sony Corporation, said: "Michael Jackson was a brilliant troubadour for his generation, a genius whose music reflected the passion and creativity of an era.

"His artistry and magnetism changed the music landscape forever. We have been profoundly affected by his originality, creativity and amazing body of work. The entire Sony family extends our deepest condolences to his family and to the millions of fans around the world who loved him."

The tributes have been rolling over the weekend from almost everyone. Thankfully Michael has left us with the gift of his music. Hopefully he rests in a better place.
